4-Day Tour of the Southwest Grand Ring by Land, Sea and Air

Day 1Las Vegas——Zion National Park——Bryce Canyon National Park

Bathed in the morning sunshine, we set out from Las Vegas and drove to our first stop of the day - Bryce Canyon National Park , and then to the hiking paradise - Zion National Park .

  • Zion National Park

Zion National Park is the most diverse, oldest and most visited national park in Utah, covering a total area of 229 square miles ( 593 square kilometers). It is a spectacular canyon with steep boulders towering into the clouds and an unfathomable valley bottom. The canyon is narrow and deep. Standing at the bottom of the valley and looking at the cliffs, the scenery is very spectacular. It is very suitable for hiking, wading, and rock climbing (professional licenses are required in some places).

  • Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce National Park is the smallest national park in the United States. Millions of orange and fiery red rock pillars of varying heights form a vast and magnificent landscape. The peculiarly shaped, neatly arranged and separated stone pillars form a huge "open-air theater", somewhat like the "Roman Colosseum".

Visiting time: 1 to 2 hours in Bryce National Park

Zion National Park 1-2 hours

Hotel: Comfort Inn or similar

Day 2Bryce ——Arches National Park——Monument Valley

We will get up from the hotel in the morning, pack up for the day, and head to Arches National Park to explore the mysteries of nature and appreciate the naturally formed rock towers, canyons, etc. Then we will come to the famous "Eye of the Sun" - Monument Valley . In the evening, check in to a nearby hotel.

  • Arches National Park

Arches National Park is the world's largest concentration of natural sandstone arches, with more than 2,000 natural arches, the smallest span is 0.9 meters, and the largest is 91 meters. New arches are still being formed and old arches are collapsing.

  • Monument Valley

Monument Valley began to appear in many media in the 1930s and is a symbol of the American West. The cross-country race in director Robert Zemeckis's "Forrest Gump" ended here. The magnificence of Monument Valley is difficult to describe in words. Huge rock structures stand on the red wilderness, among which the most famous is the "Eye of the Sun". This is a place where desolate and wild music resonate and life and soul sublimate.

Visiting time: 1 to 2 hours in Monument Valley

Arches National Park 1-2 hours

Hotel: Comfort Inn or similar

Day 3 Antelope Canyon——Horseshoe Bend——Lake Powell

We set off in the morning with a fresh mind and headed to the world's first slot cave, which is rated as one of the world's top ten photography sites. Follow the Navajo guide into the Antelope Canyon , where you will be in a colorful world, walk in the unique cave formed by hundreds of millions of years of river erosion, watch the irregular color changes caused by the refraction of natural sunlight on the rocks in the valley, and appreciate the magical corridor of the Antelope Canyon. Then we drove to Horseshoe Bend to appreciate the wonders of nature. At noon, we arrived at the charming Lake Powell .

  • Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon is located in the north of Arizona, USA. It is formed by soft sandstone after millions of years of various erosion forces. Flash floods often flow into the canyon during the monsoon season. Due to the sudden increase in rainfall, the flow rate of the flash flood is quite fast. In addition, the narrow channel narrows the river channel, so the vertical erosion force is relatively large, forming the corridor at the bottom of the Antelope Canyon and the hard and smooth edges on the valley wall that look like flowing water. Although Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon, when people go deep into the valley, they will find that it is like a wonderful art palace. The valley wall looks soft, but it is actually very hard. The rock surface seems to be carefully polished, and the layers flow along the rock wall. When the sun shines into the quiet canyon, the dance of light and shadow releases its charm here.

  • Horseshoe Bend

National Geographic Magazine selected this as one of the seven best photography spots in the United States. The dense aquatic plants on the Colorado River bed make the river water appear fluorescent green under the sun. The river turns 360 degrees in the reddish-brown canyon here, cutting out a horseshoe-shaped canyon, hence the name Horseshoe Bend. Standing on the edge of the cliff, you will be intoxicated by the breathtaking beauty of the blue water, blue sky and red rocks.

  • Lake Powell

Straddling the border of Arizona and Utah, Lake Powell is one of the most popular inland water recreation hotspots in the U.S. This is not only because of its vast area of nearly 658 square kilometers, but also because of the rugged and beautiful geological wonders surrounding its shores.

Kind tips:

  • Tripods and monopods are not permitted in Antelope Canyon.
  • Recommended to bring: camera, mineral water, comfortable sports shoes, sunscreen, sun hat

Tour time: Antelope Canyon is about 70 minutes

Lake Powell 0.5 hours

Day 4 Antelope Canyon——Grand Canyon National Park——Las Vegas

Passing the famous Hoover Dam , Highway 66 , we will arrive at the Grand Canyon National Park at noon. Here, every passerby is a photography master, and every photo is a landscape painting. You can choose to take a helicopter at your own expense to overlook the beauty of the Grand Canyon from the air. After the play time is over, we will return to Las Vegas in the evening.

  • Grand Canyon National Park

Known as the first of the seven natural wonders of the world, it is located in northern Arizona, USA, covers an area of 1,904 square miles, and was established in 1919. The Grand Canyon was approved as a natural heritage and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. The Grand Canyon National Park is one of the seven wonders of the world. It was formed by the Colorado River cutting through the plateau and is one of the most worth-seeing national parks in the United States.
